Can a man and a woman be friends, without sex getting in the way? We’re about to find out, as Harry and Sally are reunited for the first time since college, and instantly fall in hatred. With a sparkling script from ice queen of the rom-com, Nora Ephron, and an outstanding performance from a fresh-faced Meg Ryan, this is one of the best-loved movies in the genre, and a fitting tribute to the late, great Ephron.

Amelie

Amelie isn’t like other girls. She watched her goldfish disappear in a municipal swimming pool right before her very eyes, her mother died in Notre Dame Square, and her father dotes on a garden gnome. Now twenty-two, her hide-and-seek mission in Montmartre is to bring a little magic to other people’s lives. Amelie meets a lonely kook called Nino Quincampoix, and maybe it’s time for her to get a taste of her own medicine.
