Apple day 2022
We’re thrilled to be celebrating our tenth apple day – come rain or shine, it will be a great day out!
Join in our celebration with activities for all ages! There’s something for all ages – from face painting, hands-on music-making, and group craft sessions to a baking competition, live music, beekeeping talks, tours, and more! Additionally, there will be a crafts and food market taking place throughout the garden.

This year’s event will be a bit different than previous years. We’ve increased the number of market stalls which will stretch from the main drive through the north lawn and onto the main lawn.
The walled garden will be a family fun zone with free storytelling, crafts, face-painting and more! Bushcraft Co./ SuperCamps will also be leading free all-day harvest games. In addition to the live music, delicious food vendors and a variety of market stalls, the main lawn will also feature the annual baking competition, tombola, drinks demos and more!

Crafts and activities
Paperbirds will be holding free apple-themed craft activities in the walled garden. There will also be a children’s drawing competition hosted by Strutt & Parker.
Don’t forget to join our volunteer sewing bee stall. Learn more about their latest Altar cloth project and have a go at adding your own embroider stitch!
Be sure to join Bridget Steenkamp for a free storytelling sessions in the walled garden.
Rosie Posie and About Faces face painting will also be on-site to help celebrate.
Harvest games
From life-size lego to archery tag, join Super Camps for all-day harvest games in the walled garden.
Family picnic
Enjoy the ambiance of the walled garden while you feast on delicious food from one of the tasty food vendors! The walled garden is the perfect place to sit back and snack. Our Drawing room café will also have a stall in the walled garden for easy access to drinks, desserts and more.
On the main lawn
Market
Browse beautiful goods and gifts with a variety of local and small business stalls. Stretching from the main entrance to the north lawn and onto the main lawn, you’re certain to find the perfect gift! View the stall holder map.
Drink demos
Join Against the Grain and One Gin for free demos featuring cider making and mixology!
Tombola
Test your luck at this year’s tombola for a chance to win a variety of lovely prizes! All proceeds from the tombola go towards supporting the Palace.
Enter the baking contest
Calling all star bakers and soon-to-be star bakers! Bring your very best apple-themed creation and compete for first place in this year’s apple day baking contest. Gauri Nafrey from Bridge Baker will be judging the delicious delicacies. There will be an adults and juniors (ages under 16) category with prizes given to the winner and runner-up in each.

Make some music
Monkey music is celebrating apple day with some fabulous autumnal workshops in Bishop Howley’s room. Perfect for little ones from 1 – 4 years, the sessions will be jam-packed with songs, instruments, activities and learning. Float around with the autumn leaves, explore the beat of the drums and maracas and share precious time together at Fulham Palace.
Entry to this event is through our main entrance on Bishop’s avenue, the back gates to our site will be closed. Assistance dogs are welcome at Fulham Palace but all other pups need to stay home.
