Green meet – Children’s food waste workshop

Join the ecoACTIVE team and learn all about what happens to wasted food!
After listening to the children’s talk in the main tent, join the ecoACTIVE team in the education centre for a hands-on workshop. Learn about the journey our food makes when it’s wasted and the impact on our environment. Discover the importance of worms and the role they play in the compost cycle. Meet the ecoACTIVE worms in person and get your hands dirty by planting your own seeds in paper pots to take home.
This workshop is for children ages 5 -11. Children must be accompanied by an adult.
Sessions:
- 13.00 – 13.30
- 13.45 – 14.15
- 14.30 – 15.00
Please note, this workshop is part of our green meet event and does not include general admission.
