Jazz at the Palace: Polly Gibbons

Polly Gibbons is one of the most respected and talked about singers of her generation.

A consummate performer with a sultry, distinctive style, she has already been nominated twice as “Best Jazz Vocalist” by JAZZ FM and released three albums with American jazz label Resonance Records to great acclaim.

Rapidly establishing herself in the US, her recent shows in Florida, Boston, Minneapolis, Kansas City, Oklahoma City, Los Angeles and Birdland have seen her compared to Gregory Porter by iconic US jazz authority Downbeat Magazine. A very special talent, Polly will be accompanied by her five-piece band.

“There’s a rare sense of joy in her voice, not to mention a depth of feeling….remarkable” Evening Standard; “Polly Gibbons…a truly exceptional talent, possessing a voice of such sizzling intensity and raw emotion” Jazzwise;” Gibbons is a full-blown phenomenon…” Seattle Post Intelligencer
