Young archaeologists’ club (YAC): Tudor knot gardens

Our Young Archaeologists’ Club (YAC) is for budding archaeologists aged 8 to 16.

Each month YAC members investigate different themes, with activities that can range from learning to catalogue artefacts to taking part in a real archaeology dig!

Tudor knot gardens

This month we’ll be creating our own Tudor knot gardens, using the Palace’s knot garden as inspiration. We’ll create our mini knot gardens using natural forms and micro plants!

Upcoming sessions

World War I: Saturday 8 February, 10:30 – 12:15

We’re visiting the National Army Museum to discover more about the War and it’s effect on Fulham Palace and the surrounding areas.

Fish traps: Saturday 14 March, 10:30 – 12:15

We’ll be making a neolithic fish trap from straws, using the same methods which were employed by people living by the Thames 6,000 years ago.
