We’re calling on all amateur photographers to enter our photography competition, Picture the Palace and we want you to take part!
Submit your stunning photo of the house or garden with a caption for your chance to win. We would love your picture and caption to tell a story – no matter how big or small – about the Palace. Our panel are looking for a photograph which creatively captures an aspect of Fulham Palace, whether that is a new spring flower opening up or children dancing in the sprinklers.

You have until midnight on Sunday 21 April to submit your photo, and the winner will be announced on Wednesday 22 May. The winning photographs will be displayed at Fulham Palace, and the winner of the adult prize will receive afternoon tea for two with prosecco in the Drawing Room Cafe, while the winner of the children’s prize will receive a family ticket to one of the Palace’s summer outdoor theatre productions.

Terms and conditions
Photos entered into the competition must have been taken at Fulham Palace (inside the house or in the garden), and we welcome creativity with the subject of the images.
The competition is open to individuals aged 16 and over. To enter, send a digital copy of your chosen photograph by wetransfer.com to communications@fulhampalace.org and an email, also to communications@fulhampalace.org, with your name and caption for the photograph, as well as any further details about the image or Fulham Palace which you would like to supply. It is the responsibility of each entrant into the competition to ensure that they have read and will abide by these rules. By submitting an entry, each entrant agrees to the rules and that their entry complies with the rules.
The competition closes at midnight on Sunday 21 April 2019. Entries received after the closing date will not be considered. The winner will be selected by a panel of judges and their decision will be based on creativity, composition and originality.
The winner’s photograph will be displayed at Fulham Palace and the winner will be awarded their prize at a reopening event at Fulham Palace on Wednesday 22 May 2019.
Image specifications
Submissions must be in digital format but the original entry does not need to have been taken on a digital camera. High quality scans of transparencies or negatives are also acceptable.
Digital files must be submitted as high resolution image files with a minimum of 3000 pixels along the longest dimension. No borders, watermarks or signatures should be included.
If your photo contains children, you must gain written permission from their parents.
Restrictions
Each entry must be the original work of the entrant and must not infringe the rights of any other party.
The entrant must either be the sole owner of the copyright in the entry(s) submitted or have secured the written permission of the copyright owner or any joint owners of copyright to submit the entry(s) into the competition. A copy of any such written permission must be supplied to Fulham Palace Trust on request.
This competition is not open to anyone connected with the creation and administration of the competition. Up to ten competition entries, fulfilling the eligibility requirements above, will be accepted per person. Once selected, only the winner(s) will be contacted personally by email, using the contact details provided upon entry.
Fulham Palace Trust shall be permitted to exclude or disqualify any entrant at any time at its sole discretion. Fulham Palace Trust reserves the right to exclude late, incomplete or multiple registrations, or registrations made by third parties or agents. Fulham Palace Trust does not accept any responsibility for late or lost entries. Proof of sending is not proof of receipt. The name of the winner(s) will be announced at the press launch at Fulham Palace on Wednesday 22 May 2019.
It is assumed that you have the permission of your employer for any time off work that is required to claim the prize. Fulham Palace Trust is not liable in any way to any winner who cannot attend. Winners will be notified by 15 May 2019.
Entry to the competition constitutes permission to use any entrant’s name, image and any text supporting their application, for promotional and/or editorial purposes in any format in print and non-print media without additional consultation.
By entering the competition and in consideration for Fulham Palace Trust publishing your entry, you assign to Fulham Palace Trust the entire worldwide copyright in your entry for all uses in all print and non-print media and formats, including but not limited to all rights to use your entry in any and all electronic and digital formats, and in any future medium hereafter developed for the full period of copyright therein, and all renewals and extensions thereof, any rental and lending rights and retransmission rights and all rights of a like nature wherever subsisting. Fulham Palace Trust’s decision is final in every situation, including any not covered above, and no correspondence will be entered into in respect of the validity of any such decision.
No purchase is necessary. Once entered, entries cannot be returned or withdrawn. Spammers will be disqualified. Prizes must be taken as stated, although Fulham Palace Trust reserves the right to change the prize in the event of unforeseen circumstances. By entering the competition, you agree to the terms of the Privacy Policy. Fulham Palace Trust reserves the right to (i) cancel and/or withdraw this competition and/or (ii) amend these terms, at any time without notice. To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, in no event will Fulham Palace Trust be liable, whether in contract, tort (including negligence), breach of statutory duty, or otherwise, for any loss, damage or injury arising under or in connection with this competition. These terms are governed by English law, and entrants agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts in relation to all matters arising under or in connection with these terms.
The personal data of entrants will be managed by Fulham Palace Trust in accordance with data protection legislation.
The Owners will collect personal data about entrants (and the entrant’s parent/guardian where applicable) at the time of registration, and as otherwise provided in order to administer the competition and/or all associated activities.
