Caretaker/maintenance assistant

£29,000-£30,000 full time (37.5 hours per week)

Fulham Palace is a truly remarkable place. For centuries, this Grade I Listed building situated in extensive grounds by the River Thames was the country residence of the Bishops of London. The Palace is managed by the Fulham Palace Trust, which is inspired by a vision to restore our nationally significant historic buildings and garden to their original beauty and to provide outstanding facilities for the local community and visitors from farther afield.

Fulham Palace has beautiful gardens, a museum and exhibition space and a café. We have a lively activity programme, including volunteering, community archaeology and events for families and young people. Alongside our core activities, the Palace hosts a range of commercial events each year as well as weddings and private functions.  In addition, the Trust has a number of commercial and private tenants.

The facilities team is at the heart of everything we do at Fulham Palace whether it be caring for our historic fabric, responding to the needs of our tenants and visitors or helping prepare for events. The maintenance assistant is a key role in the team.

We are looking for an energetic, organised and proactive individual with a good set of core building maintenance skills. Flexibility will be key as facilities matters happen throughout the week and the weekend.
