Salary: £26,000 – £30,000
Full time, 40 hours per week
Fulham Palace is a truly remarkable place. For centuries, this Grade I Listed building situated in extensive grounds by the River Thames was the country residence of the Bishops of London. The Palace is now managed by Fulham Palace Trust, which is inspired by a vision to restore our nationally significant historic buildings and gardens to their original beauty and to provide outstanding facilities for the local community and visitors from farther afield.
Fulham Palace Trust has recently completed a major restoration project, launching in May 2019. This has transformed the gardens and Tudor quadrangle to their former glory and developed a new museum and exhibition space to tell the fascinating stories of the Palace over its 6,000 year history. We have a lively activity programme, including volunteering, community archaeology and events for families and young people. Alongside our core activities, the Palace hosts a range of commercial events each year as well as weddings and private functions.
We are looking for an enthusiastic, energetic, quick-thinking marketing executive, someone full of ideas and with a passion for generating income and promoting Fulham Palace, helping the organisation grow and develop. Reporting to the commercial and visitor experience manager, you will develop and co-ordinate the marketing and promotion of the site.
You will need to be highly motivated, organised and able to work with minimal supervision. You must be able to multi-task and manage a complex workload. You should have excellent marketing skills and be able to take an imaginative, strategic and creative approach to your work, including developing new services for changing markets.
