Happy Volunteers’ Week!
It’s Volunteers’ Week, and we’re taking this opportunity to say a heartfelt thank you to every single one of our volunteers who help make Fulham Palace what it is.
As an independent charity, we simply couldn’t do what we do without the dedication and passion of our volunteers. From welcoming visitors at the front desk, digging deep in the historic garden, supporting events and helping behind the scenes with everything from collections to finance and admin, our volunteers are at the heart of the Palace.
With over 200 active volunteers, we are proud to run the largest volunteer programme in the borough. Whether someone gives an hour a week or a few days a month, every role plays an important part in keeping the Palace open, thriving and welcoming for everyone.
What is Volunteers’ Week?
Volunteers’ Week takes place every year. This year it takes place from Monday 2 June – Sunday 8 June. It’s a national celebration of the amazing contributions volunteers make to communities across the UK. It’s also a time to shine a light on volunteering and encourage more people to discover how rewarding it can be.
Volunteering at Fulham Palace
Our volunteer programme is incredibly diverse. We offer opportunities in areas including:
- Front of house
- Events
- Gardening
- Collections & heritage
- Administration & finance
- Learning & family activities
Whether you are looking to meet new people, learn new skills, build your CV or simply give back to your community, there’s a place for you here!
You don’t need any specialised experience, just enthusiasm and a willingness to get involved. We offer full training and ongoing support to help you make the most of your time with us.
Corporate volunteering
We also offer tailored corporate volunteering days, where teams from businesses and organisations join us for a hands-on experience that gives back to the community. These days are a great way to bond as a team, boost wellbeing and make a tangible difference to a local heritage site.
Get involved
We’re always looking for new volunteers to join the team! Whether you‘re retired, studying, working part time or just looking to try something new, there’s a role to suit you.
If you’ve ever thought about volunteering, there’s no better time to get started! You’ll be joining a friendly, supportive community and helping to keep this unique site open for generations to come.
To all our current volunteers, thank you! Your time, energy and care make Fulham Palace a special place.
Happy Volunteers’ Week!
