Discover Fulham Palace as an event space

From historic soirées throughout it’s long history, to hosting modern parties with flair, Fulham Palace is the perfect place for your next event!

Tucked beside the River Thames in West London, Fulham Palace has served as a residence for the Bishops of London for over 1,300 years and 133 bishops. Today, it stands as a magnificent event venue with layers of history, ready to host festive parties, weddings, corporate gatherings, celebrations and much more. Read on to explore the history across the Palace and grounds.

The great hall

One of the central rooms of the Palace is the great hall, which dates from around 1495, making it one of the oldest parts of the building. Over the centuries, it has been used for grand banquets and receptions and is fittingly ideal today for elegant dinners or weddings. With its historic timber roof, panelling and sense of grandeur, it gives your event instant character and authenticity.

Bishop Terrick’s drawing & dining room

These elegant rooms offer a more intimate setting within the Palace. Positioned to take advantage of views over the gardens, they’ve historically hosted family-style gatherings for the bishops and, in the 19th century, large social parties and pageants. For events today, they are perfect for medium sized receptions, breakout spaces for corporates, or refined wedding ceremonies.

Bishop Sherlock’s room

In the mid-1750s Bishop Sherlock commissioned an elaborately decorated dining room. The detailing and restoration work reflect the care given to these historic rooms. Today, this space can serve beautifully as a private-dining venue, lavish wedding receptions or stunning dinners, all within a room rich with heritage.

The Tait chapel

The chapel is one of the most highly decorated rooms across the palace, offering a unique character for event backdrops, filming or memorable wedding blessings.

Garden, courtyard & grounds

Beyond the building itself, the Palace sits within 13 acres of gardens and grounds. The Tudor courtyard dates from circa 1495 and provides a dramatic outdoor space. Our Chaplain garden marquee offers an indoor-outdoor reception area. The wonderful expanse of garden grounds also offers ideal photo-op locations.
