While Fulham Palace is closed to the public, Bovingdons – who manage our cafe and private functions, have taken this time as an opportunity to help support those on the front line in the NHS.
Their team are now working hard to make and deliver several thousand meals each day for the critical workers who are keeping us all safe and well.
Theo Wieder, director at Bovingdons, is proud of the work the team are achieving:
Our customers always come first but never more so than now. Working long and stressful days, we hope that frontline workers can take a minute to enjoy a delicious and nutrition filled meal during their long hours saving and protecting lives.

In order to ensure that the Bovingdons team are working safely, the whole team wear masks as they prepare food, and are working on split shifts to avoid contact as much as possible.
The food made by the team is being delivered to critical workers across Barts Health NHS Trust, which include St Bart’s, Whipps Cross, Newham, the Royal London and Mile End hospitals.
This work is being delivered in conjunction with Marshall Wace’s Mealforce and Helpforce who are driving this brilliant initiative. We’re very proud and grateful for the work Bovingdons are doing at this difficult time.
