A stitch in time

Grab your needle and thread and join the sewing bee team for an update on their latest project!

Our sewing bee volunteers have gathered together for an informal talk and demonstration about their latest project — an embroidered alter cloth. We’re inviting you to take part in the project and add a stitch to the Palace’s long and layered history.

The embroidery project is inspired by the Palace’s living collection, its garden filled with beautiful plants. Sewing bee members have researched and decided on motifs, colours and fabrics complimenting the history of the site. Recently, they started their embroideries and would like to invite the public to participate and make their stitch to the story of the Palace.

Learn more about the project in the recent blog written by Esther Dean.
