If you go down to the Palace today, you’re sure of a big surprise…

You and your favourite teddy are invited to join us for a magical day of family fun in Fulham Palace’s beautiful walled garden. Pack a picnic from home or enjoy something tasty from our café as you take part in a full day of teddy-themed activities and garden adventures.

Little ones can listen to enchanting stories, take part in lively games, and get crafty with make-your-own bear ears and teddy name tags. There’ll be plenty of chances to get moving too, from garden games and an obstacle course to a live Mini Mozart music session.

Activities include:

Storytelling & drawing workshop

Join an interactive and energetic session packed with games, dancing and creativity. Children will enjoy a teddy bear story and learn how to draw the story’s teddy protagonist.

The Velveteen Rabbit

Be transported as Cat & Hutch bring Margery Williams’ beloved tale to life. Using puppetry and original songs, they’ll tell the story of a toy rabbit’s dream to become ‘real’ and show how one child makes this happen through love, imagination and a bit of nursery magic.

Crafts

Get creative with hands-on crafts including making your own teddy bear ears to wear, designing a name tag to introduce your cuddly friend, and filling out fun teddy wordsearches and ‘introduce your teddy’ sheets to share more about your bear’s personality.

Mini Mozart

Sing along with live piano and orchestral instruments in this fun, interactive music session for young children.

Garden games

Try your hand at giant chess, Connect 4, bean bag toss and boules on the lawn.

Obstacle course

Join the Rainbows Girlguiding team and complete a playful obstacle course with your teddy by your side.

Gummy bear jar guess

Take a guess at how many gummy bears are in the jar — the closest guess wins the whole jar! The lucky winner will be contacted after the event to collect their prize from reception.

Dress up & photo area

Put on some fun costumes, strike a pose with your teddy and capture the moment with a photo to remember the day.

Event details:

• This event is suitable for ages 3 – 7.
• The standard ticket covers entry for one child and one accompanying adult.
• Children must be accompanied by their parent at all times
• Home packed picnics are welcome, but all rubbish must be taken away with you.
• Food and drink options are available to purchase on the day.
• This event will go ahead in all weather unless it is unsafe to do so. Please dress appropriately.
• Buggies should be stored in the designated buggy park, which will be monitored throughout the event.
• Should you wish to cancel or amend your booking, you will be charged an amendment fee.
