Serene sounds: classical sound bath

Escape the everyday and immerse yourself in serene sounds in the historic setting of Fulham Palace.

We’ve partnered with Transposed Ensemble to bring an evening of sound healing to the ambient-lit surroundings of the historic Bishop Sherlock’s room. This restorative sound bath combines classical voice and piano with traditional instruments used in meditative practices.

Lie back and let the calming atmosphere wash over you, as you experience the music in an intimate and immersive way, surrounded by candlelight. After the sound bath, take time to unwind in the tranquil East courtyard with a complimentary warming tea or refreshing cordial.

Some yoga mats will be available, but we encourage you to bring your own if you have one, along with any pillows or blankets to help you get as comfortable as possible.

About Transposed Ensemble

Pianist Elena Toponogova and soprano Eleanor Penfold present Serene Sounds, a classical sound bath inspired by water. The performance features pieces including Chopin’s Raindrop Prelude and Debussy’s The Sunken Cathedral, woven together with meditative sounds from Koshi chimes, an ocean drum and a rain stick.

This peaceful experience promotes a deep state of calm and focus, offering a new way to connect with music and sound.
