Young Archaeologists’ Club (YAC): excursion to Billingsgate Bath House
Discover the secrets hidden beneath our feet with the Young Archaeologists’ Club, designed for curious minds aged 8 to 16.
Led by Fulham Palace’s community archaeologist, Alexis Haslam, each session explores a different aspect of archaeology through hands on activities, experiments, crafts and excursions. Young archaeologists will investigate real discoveries, meet expert specialists and uncover how archaeologists piece together stories from the past.
Excursion: Billingsgate Bath House
Explore one of London’s hidden Roman treasures on this special archaeological excursion.
Join us for a special visit to the Roman Bath House on Lower Thames Street. This exciting excursion offers the chance to explore one of London’s hidden Roman sites and discover how people lived, washed and socialised nearly 2,000 years ago. Learn more about Roman London and experience archaeology beyond Fulham Palace.
This session will meet at Billingsgate Bath House.
Event details:
- Our Young Archaeologists’ Club is for ages 8 – 16.
- Students attend independently.
- Attendees should come dressed in appropriate clothing for outdoor activities.
- Guardians will be asked to sign a photo permission form for their student at this workshop. There is no obligation to sign this form if you do not wish your child to be photographed.
