Hidden resistance – family event day

Discover the hidden forms of resistance used by enslaved Africans during the transatlantic slave trade with a host of activities suitable for all ages.

Learn the meaning and significance of African masks as you create your own. Join spoken-word poet, Adisa, for a free poetry workshop. Explore the Palace and its long history on an immersive guided tour or embark on a self-guided tour with one of the free museum I-spy trails.

This is part of the Palace’s project working with community groups and schools on the subject of the Bishop of London’s historic involvement in colonialism and transatlantic slavery.

There is a small charge for the immersive guided tour which must be booked in advance.
