Young Archaeologists’ Club (YAC)
Our Young Archaeologists’ Club (YAC) is back!
These sessions are perfect for budding archaeologists. The sessions are hands-on, with a different theme each month.
Termly ticket covers entry to the following sessions:
22 January: Planning – How do archaeologists record what they find in the ground? In this session we will be learning how to plan archaeological discoveries
26 February: Build the Palace – Fulham Palace is an incredibly complicated building containing various different elements built over hundreds of years. We will examine the buildings and attempt to recreate our favourite parts
19 March: Ancient Games – People have been playing various forms of games for entertainment for thousands of years. We shall be looking at these ancient pastimes and having a go ourselves
23 April: Map regression. How can you use maps to determine how a site has changed over time? We will be investigating the techniques used by archaeologists to investigate sites before excavation begins.
Suitable for 8-16-year-olds, young people attend independently.
