Young Archaeologists’ Club (YAC): WWII

Discover the secrets hidden in historic structures with our Young Archaeologists’ Club, tailored for enthusiasts aged 8 to 16!

WWII

During the Second World War, Fulham Palace was used as a barrage balloon site and was home to members of the Women’s Auxiliary Air Force, who lived above the Tudor Arch and ate in Gothic Lodge. In this session, we’ll learn how barrage balloons worked and whether they were effective, before testing our ideas with hands on activities.
