What to expect when you visit

We do our best to keep the information here on our website completely up to date, but sometimes that’s not 100% possible. You may find that on the day you visit we’ve had to close something. We hope that doesn’t affect your enjoyment of our beautiful house and garden.

Site entry

  • The site is open from dawn – dusk.
  • The back gate into Bishop’s Park and the gate into All Saints church are open until 16.00 daily. At other times, please use the wooden gates on Bishop’s Avenue for entry and exit. See our opening times for full details.

Opening times

  • The site is open from dawn – dusk.
  • The walled garden is open daily from 10.15 – 16.15.
  • The café is open daily from 9.30 – 17.00.
  • Museum and historic rooms are open daily from 10.30 – 17.00. (last entry 16.30). Book your free visiting timeslot here.

  • Occasionally areas of the Palace must close for private events. To avoid disappointment, please check both our opening times and our ticketing platform a week before your scheduled visit.

Café

  • Our café is open from 9.30 – 17.00 daily.
  • You cannot book a table in advance, we have a first come first served policy.

Toilets

  • Toilets are available throughout the site, including accessible toilets and baby changing areas.
  • We’ve increased our cleaning regime and we have added a hand sanitiser station outside the toilets.
  • If you notice the toilets are in need of an additional clean, please speak to a member of staff.

Shop

  • Our shop is open daily from 10.30 – 17.00.
  • Every purchase you make supports the Palace.
  • The museum shop is also available online.

Access

  • Our grounds are fully wheelchair accessible.
  • For use of the accessible toilet please speak to a member of our team at the museum reception desk and they will be happy to help.
  • You’re welcome to bring your own mobility scooter or wheelchair.
  • The Palace has two wheelchairs which can be booked in advance of your visit.

Additional guidance to be aware of

  • Follow instructions given by our team.
  • Supervise children and vulnerable adults in your care.
  • Don’t drop litter. If you have brought food or drink with you to the site, please take your waste home with you.
  • Consider others when taking photos.
  • Follow advice and instructions on signs.
  • Don’t go beyond any barriers, or into areas marked ‘closed’ or ‘staff only’.
  • Do not feed birds, squirrels or foxes.
  • Be aware that we have bee hives on site. Take extra care if you have a severe allergy to bee stings
  • Do not pick our flowers, they’re there for everyone to enjoy.
Acquiring the Industry Standard mark means that Fulham Palace has followed government and industry COVID-19 guidelines, has a Risk Assessment in place and a process to maintain cleanliness and aid physical distancing.
